Nicole Brandon is an archaeologist and material culture analyst who specializes in historic period material culture. She has interpreted artifact collections from a variety of contexts including farmsteads, taverns, train stations, jails and urban dwellings.

Nicole also has extensive archaeological field experience and holds a professional licence issued by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Nicole received her B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University and she earned the distinction of Fellow upon completing her M.A. at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her thesis research focused on the analysis of a stoneware assemblage excavated from the Colony of Avalon, an early English colonial site south of St. John's, NL.

Other notable archaeological projects include the LeBreton Flats Redevelopment Project in Ottawa, the Royal Military College in Kingston, the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site in Nova Scotia and the Port Royal Excavation in Bermuda.
