Ontario Archaeological Society's Award for Excellence in Cultural Resource Management

In 2013, Timmins Martelle Heritage Consultants Inc. (TMHC) was honoured with the Ontario Archaeological Society’s Award for Excellence in Cultural Resource Management. TMHC’s principals, Peter Timmins and Holly Martelle, were elated to receive the award on the tenth anniversary of the company and in acknowledgement of the firm’s dedication to the discipline of archaeology and Indigenous involvement in cultural resource management. By recognizing TMHC’s team, the award encouraged its heightened commitment to the archaeological record, its recovery and interpretation in cooperation with descendant communities, and a dedication to sharing results with professional archaeologists, students, descendants and the public. TMHC is humbled to have the honour of sitting among so many other distinguished OAS award recipients, including many of the pioneers of archaeology in Ontario and personal mentors who, as role models, remind us of our greater responsibilities to the multiple audiences who share our interest in the past.
