Tom Porawski, MA - Project Manager - Archaeologist

Tom Porawski received a B.Sc (Hon.) in Archaeology from the University of Toronto in 2006 and went on to complete a M.A. in Anthropology at the University of Western Ontario between in 2008.

Tom's graduate research was in Arctic Archaeology, specifically on the study of site formation processes and zooarchaeology on precontact Inuit sites. In 2010 Tom completed his PhD coursework which included a significant GIS component. Since joining TMHC in 2008 Tom has played a major role in several archaeological assessments as a Field Archaeologist, Survey and Ground Penetrating Radar techncian, Report Writer and Faunal Analyst.

In 2010 Tom assumed the role of Field Operations Manager and in 2012 and 2013 Tom was TMHC's head GIS technician responsible for preparing illustrative and analytical mapping for many TMHC projects including the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System pipleline twinning Stage 2 assessment and the Infrastructure Ontario Townsend Land Bank Stage 1 assessment.
